Predators are wild animals that are very highly regarded. They attract a very high number of visitors. They include the lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. These are the most common in Africa and especially Kenya. All the country's national parks harbor a great number of them. It's very likely during an evening game drive to happen on a lion mauling a gazelle. One can also catch a leopard tugging its prey up the tree early in the morning or catch it hunting.
Predators especially the lions live in groups that dominated by males. They hunt in groups and can easily be caught in the act during any time of the day. They prefer grasslands where they are able to monitor their unsuspecting preys like the wildebeests, gazelles and zebras. Lions are very big especially the males and have mane round their faces. Their roar reverberates across the whole jungle and they symbolize mightiness. The cheetahs are a bit smaller in size but none of the above animals can match their speed.
Predators like cheetahs are common in grasslands and areas where there are a lot of plains. In these areas they can be able to run at their best speeds and catch up with their prey. The hyena is a bit slower in its running speed, but can run for very long distances without getting tired. This kind of adaptation helps them to chase their prey until they get exhausted. They also hunt in parks and they surround their prey leaving no room to escape. Watch all the above wildcats at their best in Kenyan parks.
